We invite you to visit often for information about our great staff, upcoming events, interesting news, athletics, or to answer your frequently asked questions. Parents, we encourage you to play an active role in your child’s education by using Parent Assistant. We think you'll find it all here. The Kofa High school community is committed to challenge, support, and prepare every student to be college and career ready.

Dear Royal Families,

It is an honor to serve as the Kofa High School Principal for our 53rd year! I am dedicated to ensuring a positive, safe learning environment and a rigorous, supported curriculum that work in tandem to ensure each student from Kofa High is career or college ready upon graduation.

Kofa High School is part of the Ready Now Yuma Initiative, which includes use of the Cambridge curriculum for our freshmen, sophomores and juniors, with campus-wide implementation scheduled for the 2014-2015 school year. Every student also has access to advanced placement courses. The Ready Now Yuma Initiative provides opportunities for success by offering structures that support and interventions that assist each student’s pursuit of educational success.

Kofa’s faculty and staff are dedicated to fostering a culture that promotes learning, enthusiasm, and achievement for our students. Our faculty works together to develop instructional units and assessments aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. This practice allows for discussions utilizing live data to drive decisions on classroom instruction.

Kofa High School’s student body enjoys numerous accomplishments inside and outside the classroom. We offer more than forty active clubs on campus, and several compete at local, state, and national levels. We offer several career and technical courses including automotive, construction, welding, culinary arts, restaurant service, customer service, and firefighting. For the second year, Kofa High School is proud to have a Marine Corps Junior Reserved Officer Training program that currently has 143 cadets. We also offer nineteen varsity sports, with teams that compete at the local and state levels. The talents of our students continue to amaze me as they excel academically as well as in the areas of fine arts, technology, and athletics.

I would like to thank the faculty, staff, alumni, students, and parents, as well as our larger Yuma community for their support. Kofa High School is fortunate to have such an amazing contingency of people to assist us in supporting our students in their educational career.

We hope you will take some time to browse our school's website and discover why we are proud to be Kings!
